Mission
Unite people around Indigenous and traditional expertise to co-create and implement innovative and sustainable solutions.
Two fundamental Pillars
Accelerator of sustainable socio-bioeconomic projects
We support the development and structuring of projects that combine biodiversity preservation with Indigenous economic autonomy. We facilitate funding and impact investments, while also connecting businesses seeking to engage in ethical production and trade models.
- Innovation and indigenous entrepreneurship: Supporting the creation of economic initiatives that respect territories and cultures.
- Reforestation and agroecology: Restoring degraded lands and strengthening food security.
- Bioeconomy and sustainable supply chains: Supporting the transformation and commercialization of resources derived from socio-biodiversity.
- Responsible community-based experience: Developing immersive experiences that highlight Indigenous knowledge and generate local income.
Indigenous & traditional knowledge and advisory platform
We leverage Indigenous expertise and foster intercultural collaboration to co-create solutions.
- E-learning and online training: Tailored modules for organizations and professionals to integrate Indigenous knowledge into sustainable strategies.
- Interactive community platform: Facilitating dialogue and synergies through exchanges via meetings, conferences, forums and working groups.
- Consulting by Indigenous experts: Direct access to Indigenous specialists for insights and advisory on specific topics.
- Fact-finding missions and intercultural dialogues: Organizing field experiences for decision-makers and businesses seeking market insights and sustainable investment opportunities.
The pivotal importance of Indigenous Peoples in the Amazon Forest is being recognised.
Indigenous territories and protected areas in the Brazilian Amazon encompass approximately 52% of the region’s forests. Between 2000 and 2021, these areas accounted for only 5% of net forest loss, acting as strong carbon sinks, removing approximately 340 million tons of CO2 each year.
In contrast, the other parts of the Amazon Forest releases more CO2 than it absorbs, due to agricultural activities, logging, and mining.
Recognition of the positive impact of Indigenous visions, role, knowledge, expertise, and way of-life, has led to an increasing willingness to support, learn from, collaborate, and exchange with Indigenous Peoples. Parallel, the concrete definition of projects, resource allocation, and their implementation presents a wide set of challenges.
Within this spirit of co-development, we founded Amazonia Land. With one foot in Brazil and the other in Europe, we bridge two worlds with a shared goal: to promote and apply the bio socio-bioeconomic knowledge and expertise of Indigenous Peoples to develop concrete, inclusive, and sustainable practices and solutions in the Amazon and beyond.
