Jairã Tingui Botó is an agronomist and social anthropologist from the Tingui Botó people in Brazil’s semi-arid northeast. He works with the National Agroecology Articulation (ANA), the Brazilian Association of Agroecology (ABA), and represents APIB in national policy spaces.
In this video, Jairã shares reflections on agroecology as rooted in Indigenous knowledge, contrasting it with agribusiness models. He discusses its relevance for food sovereignty, climate resilience, and public health in Brazil.
